does anyone else prefer the way the song was recorded? i know they changed the performance of it because bill’s voice dropped, but i feel like there was just so much more power this way and i feel like maybe he could have hit those notes. or he could now at least, after his surgery?
anyway. they haven’t played this song live in years, but i love it, so if they were to, well. i don’t know if bill could hit those notes necessarily, but i mean, they also changed the emphasis of where the notes are placed - he used to hold out those higher notes longer.
in this video, which is from before the one above, but after this one, in which he does the shorter “mir bist” parts, he is definitely straining trying to go up. maybe it’s just not possible, but i wish it were.
oddly, it looks like all my humanoid photos got wiped. unfortunate. but it’s cool going back through the 483 and the schrei years, and even before that.
tonight’s been pretty low key, quasi-serious stuff because that’s my mood, but i’ll dig into the funny stuff, maybe this weekend. keep an eye out!

this picture is titled “1st photo found” in my tokio hotel folder (which, along with most of my files, took a great hit when my computer crashed senior year).
and that’s true. i was searching for a good haircut - still in my punky phase, i mean, i’ll never grow out of it - and bill’s big hair and the other two showed up. i’ve been hooked ever since. only wish i’d discovered ‘em sooner.
get ready, kids, tonight may be a long, throwback, kinda night.

i like this song. it’s bittersweet. great performance, of course, although some of the bill doing his weird bird stalk/walk (THERE WAS THE TOM SHUFFLE IN THE AUTOMATIC VIDEO! haha), but whatever.
yeah. his shoulders look bigger. ANYWAY. THIS HAS BEEN A HAPPY DAY OF POSTING :P haha. glad they’re all fresh and bright and together.
i wish gustav had gotten more shots though.
